Thu, Dec. 14th, 2006, 05:25 pm Life Update
Update after a really long time. So without any crap here is a small list of things that have changed
- Job. I now work for Visible Path(http://www.visiblepath.com). Its been around 6 months now. I am, for a change, very satisfied with the work that I have done. I have the opportunity to work on all aspects of creating a product from scratch (no..no..not management yet). Looking forward, things look more interesting.
- Gym. Still trying to be regular to the Gym and shape up but still failing consistently. Gawd, I am so consistent, its been so long now :-)
- Misc. Have become significantly better at cooking. Regularly lurk at Bharat Rakshak
Rest, as they say, "More the things change, more they remain same".
Source: http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/content/current/story/250710.htmlQuoting from the article: "Our president [Ehsan Mani] is from Pakistan, the chairman of thecricket committee is from India and our chief referee is from Sri Lanka... think about that for a moment" But Mr Speed, the dimwits who are sent as match referees don't seem to get the clue!!
Source IBNLive: ICC fines Sehwag but spares LaraNow, how crazy..err...sick is this. Sehwag gets fined and Lara goes free for all the "gamesmanship" he displayed on the fourth day. I don't know what more would it take for the indian team and the board to recognize the blatant discrimination being meted out. There is no shortage of incidents, Mike dennis incident comes to mind instantly. Just for everyone to situp and take notice, India should announce that it is breaking off from ICC and it would have tournaments on its own. I am more than sure that ICC board will be shitting bricks hearing that news. How can these sort of things go unpunished?
Tue, May. 23rd, 2006, 03:06 pm Moon walk
Contents of a forwarded mail I recieved: Manmohan Singh to Bush - We are sending Indians to the moon next year. Bush - Wow! How Many? Manmohan Singh - 100 25 - OBC 25 - SC 20 - ST 5 - Handicapped 5 - Sports Persons 5 - Terrorist Affected 5 - Kashmiri Migrants 9 - Politicians and if possible 1 - Astronnaut ROTFLMAO... On a serious note, looking at the current state of affairs, don't be surprised if this becomes a reality.
Read the whole poem written by Ramprasad Bismil for the first time. It is so wonderfuly written, I don't have words. So fierce so confident. I specially liked the following two lines which come near the end. Door reh paaye jo humse dam kahaan manzil mein hai, Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai. My god! so much confidence, so much conviction. Man, those people were a class apart. I am seriously thinking of reading books about these amazing bunch of people.

OK. I made the decision. But I did a bad-ass job of explaining why I made that decision. Feeling bad.

I'm a Chevrolet Corvette! You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do. Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Mon, Jan. 2nd, 2006, 11:06 pm Mall Tax
I thought I had seen all from these good-for-nothing friggin pinkos. But now, see, they want to collect tax from people shopping in the malls. And you know where the money would go, a big drain called "social sector" that opens up in pockets of various babus on the way. Their (expired) thumb rule to achive so called equality is simple: Don't waste time and money bringing the poor up, pull down the slightly-better-offs down. As a side note, CNN-IBN channel looks impressive. In addition to the television content, the website seems to have video clippings, podcasts and whatnot.
Dilbert's take on Agile programming methods ..Classy one!! ROTFLMAO!!

Courtesy TOI : http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1283941.cmsExcerpt from above link: The site of the 'incident' was the 'itwari bazaar' (Sunday market) on October 30. A customer, Mohammed Nadeem, appeared around 10 pm and paid for his chole-bhature with a Rs 1,000 note. Sunder Lal promptly held up the note to the light to check whether it was counterfeit.
At this point, Nadeem decided to establish his bona fides by saying he was Pakistani and a member of the High Commission in New Delhi.
Sunder Lal was unimpressed. "All the more reason for me to check if this is genuine," he quipped. A heated exchange followed....ROTFLMAO !! Even a chole-bhatura vendor knows about these worthless people. Now only if our peace loving netas can get some of this wisdom.
This is an article by TVR Shenoy on Rediff. I love the way he writes. The article is well written and presents facts as they should be. Excerpt from the article: "Younger readers will be astonished to learn that forty years ago Bihar was considered one of the three best administered states in India. A later generation of politicians ruined all that. I pray that history shall not repeat itself in Karnataka." Looking at the people in Vidhaana Soudha, one can't help comparing Karnataka (down the line) to Bihar. Coalition partners (baah..what a misnomer..they are fighting like luchchaa lafangaas) are going out of their way to screw up things in Bangalore. Add to this, the current CM is the most horrible one I've seen in my entire life. Just one look at him and you get so depressed!! He doesn't have the guts to stand up and ask D.G to cut the crap. He is busy saving money for later. Sick!!
I am making this post from the new firefox based browser called Flock, which has an in-built blog editor.
Fri, Oct. 14th, 2005, 06:01 pm A case for DDM
I was (as usual) interested when I saw this link ( Did Dalmiya desert Ganguly?) on rediff. I started reading up till this: "True, his cricketing feats in the last two years are nothing to write home about. But equally true is the fact that the selectors decided to drop him after he scored a century in Zimbabwe and India won its first Test series outside the subcontinent in nearly two decades. So, if form was the criterion for removing Ganguly from the captaincy, is the timing right? Perhaps no." Thats it, I won't even read a word more. This chap thinks that the painstakingly slow century over a hapless zimbabwe (101 in 262 balls) is a torch-bearer of dada being in-form. I rest my case. However true/valid, his writings be after that paragraph, that one portion takes away everything. PS: DDM - Desi Dork Media, a term coined by Bharat Rakshak.
